Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
Your content is yours. This Privacy Policy explains what information FeedMirror collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, plan.
- Connected platforms: OAuth tokens, scopes, and metadata required to back up content you authorize.
- Backed-up content: posts, videos, captions, comments, and engagement metrics from platforms you connect.
- Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, device and browser info, IP address, for security and product improvement.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
2. How we use it
- To operate the Service: back up, index, and display your content to you.
- To communicate service updates, security notices, and (if you opt in) product news.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and protect the integrity of the Service.
- To improve FeedMirror based on aggregated usage patterns.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with vetted service providers (hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, customer support) who are bound by contracts to handle it securely and only for our purposes. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Where your content is stored
Backups are stored with our cloud storage providers. On paid plans, you can Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) and route backups to your own S3-compatible bucket; in that case we do not retain copies beyond what's needed to transfer and index.
5. Retention
We keep your account and backups as long as your account is active. After account deletion we retain data for a short grace period (typically 30 days) so you can recover if needed, then permanently delete it from production systems. Backup archives may persist in encrypted, rotating backups for a limited period.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings. For anything else, email privacy@feedmirror.app.
7. Cookies
We use cookies for essential functions (keeping you signed in) and for basic, privacy-respecting analytics. You can control cookies from your browser settings.
8. Security
We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable, use least-privilege access controls for staff, and run automated security monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever detect an incident affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly.
9. Children
FeedMirror is not intended for users under 16. If we learn that we've collected data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we'll delete it.
10. International transfers
FeedMirror is operated globally. By using the Service you consent to your data being processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email before they take effect.
